Strengthening Families Program for Parents/Caregivers and Youth ages 10-14

SFP 10-14 is an evidence-based program for parents/caregivers and their youth between the ages of 10 and 14. SFP 10-14 has been available in Meadville since January 2011. In 2013, Child to Family Connections received grants to not only continue and grow the program in Meadville, but also expand into other areas of Crawford County and Venango County.  Child to Family Connections has held SFP 10-14 in the communities of Meadville, Titusville, Saegertown, Franklin, Cochranton, and Conneautville. As the program continues to grow, we are working to achieve funding sustainability.

SFP 10-14 originated at the Iowa State University. The EPISCenter at Penn State brought the program to Pennsylvania and coordinated several grant opportunities in cooperation with the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD) to spread the program throughout Pennsylvania. This is how Child to Family Connections was able to start SFP 10-14 in Meadville and then spread it to other areas. This has also allowed the program to be provided at no cost to participants.
